New Releases for 10/27 and 10/20/09

Postby Ben from Blockbuster on Mon Oct 26, 2009 9:24 pm

I'm slacking; but there's a lot going on:

Right now at Blockbuster, for just $15 you can rent 3 movies, get 2 cokes, 2 candies, and 1 popcorn! That's a deal that the whole family can live with.

Just a little over a week left to pre-order Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 & remember, once it's paid in full - you'll get a Free $5 Giftcard.

When you pre-order Star Trek on DVD or Blu-ray, you'll get 2 free rentals = a value of more than $10.

& We're kicking off the 3 for $20 sale on our $14.99 pre-rented DVDs again this week! You'll save over $25 when you buy 3 for $20...and our Blu-rays are still buy 2 for $25 on our pre-viewed.

Okay, the new releases for this week:

Ice Age 3: Dawn of the Dinosaurs-PG family w/voices of Ray Romano, John Leguizamo, Denis Leary & Queen Latifah. Sid has been kidnapped by a cranky T.Rex and the gang has to save him.
Maiden Heist-PG13 comedy w/Morgan Freeman, Christohper Walken, William H. Macy & Marcia Gay Harden. A group of security guards decide they're going to rip off the museum so they can fund their own retirement…things go wrong.

Nothing Like the Holidays-PG13 comedy w/John Leguizamo, Debra Messing, Alfred Molina, Luis Guzman & Freddy Rodriguez. A family gathering at the Rodriguez home for the Christmas Holidays sparks old resentment but creates new bonds.

Orphan-R horror w/Vera Farmiga & Peter Sarsgaard. An adopted orphan is not what she seems.

Whatever Works-PG13 comedy w/Larry David, Evan Rachel Wood & Patricia Clarkson by Woody Allen. A man who hates the world finds love and finds out life isn't so bad after all.

SMALLER TITLES: 2012-Supernova; Afterwards; Angel and the Badman; Battlestar Galactica-The Plan; Criminal Ways; For Sale by Owner; Il Divo-subtitled; Into Tempation; Medicine for Melancholy; Monty Python-Almost the Truth; Quite Chaos-subtitled; Stan Helsing; Tinker Bell & the Lost Treasure. *(all titles not available at all stores)

And now, since I left them off last week...here's the new releases for the 20th of October:

Blood-the Last Vampire-R horror. A half-blood has to track down blood sucking demons and kill them to avenge her father.

Dead Snow-unrated horror. A group of vacationing medical students find a battalion of zobie Nazis in the Alps.

The Tournament-R action with Robert Carlyle, Kelly Hu, and Ving Rhames. The world's most deadly assassins come together to do battle to be the last man or woman standing and win 10-million dollars.

Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen - PG13 action with Shia LaBeouf, Megan Fox and John Turturro. The giant alien robots are back in one of the weirdest plots you'll ever see, but it's giant fighting robots----so it's super cool...not to mention: Megan Fox!

Wrong Turn 3-Left for Dead-unrated horror. The flesh eating hill-billies are back to kill more passer-byes.

Smaller Titles: Casi Divas-subtitled; Cheri; the Crew; Hurricane in the Rose Garden; Love n' Dancing; Malos Habitos-subtitled; Pageant; and Teenage Dirtbag.

There's two weeks of movie goodness for you! Ben from Blockbuster.
